Learn how it works

Sublease.ink is simple and intuitive to use. Here's a complete overview of how it works.

1. Upload and send

Only one of the signees needs to complete this step. Prepare a blank sublease agreement as a PDF and upload it to the form on this page. Then enter the emails of both signees and click "send". Emails that are already verified can be used again here.

2. Open editor

Both signees will receive a unique editor link via email. Don't share your link with the other signee. Open the editor to see your next steps. Your PDF will be hosted for 7 days.

3. Verify email

All signees need their emails verified before they can sign an agreement. Skip this step if your email is already verified.

Verify from the editor (recommended)

Open the editor using your link and make sure the help guide is open click . Then follow the steps to verify your email.

Verify from the website

Go to this page and enter your email address. Then click "get magic link" and follow the steps to verify your email.

Emails remain verified for 30 days so you can sign multiple agreements if needed (deal falls through, editor expires, agreement needs to be changed, etc).

4. Sign and review

Open the help guide in the editor click and follow the steps to complete the signing process. You will be notified via email when it's your turn to sign, review, and re-sign if needed.

Sign / re-sign

If it's your turn to sign, use the text tool click to add text to the agreement wherever needed. Then add your signature by using the signature tool click and typing your name. Click "done" when you're finished or click "save" to save your progress.

Both regular text and signatures can be dragged around and resized using the slider. You can't edit text or a signature that was added by the other signee.

Review

If it's your turn to review, carefully look at everything the other signee added. Click "accept" if it looks good or click "reject" if it doesn't.

Once accepted, everything the other signee added can't be changed. Clicking "reject" passes the agreement back to the other signee for them to make changes and re-sign.

5. Save finalized agreement

The agreement will be finalized after both signees review and click "accept". It will be sent to both signees attached as a PDF in the same official email from Sublease.ink. You can archive this email for your own personal records.
